Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Martha and I’m so glad yall are visiting today. I am a mama to one adorable little dude named Bud and am a wife to one hottie lawyer named Sam. I am currently a SAHM and have my Masters in Counseling. I have a passion for laughter, silliness, and well-being. We are currently part of a crazy and wonderful family called the U.S. Army and are stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. We are southerners through and through and can’t wait to get back to our lovely home state of North Carolina.

I love comments so even if it’s telling me what you had for lunch today, I want to hear from you!

I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich…and a pickle…. and some candy.  See, that wasn’t so hard was it?

    My is Kim Howell, my husband is an army officer and he is stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA. We’ve been here right at a year. We’re from North Carolina. I am a UNC graduate (2006) and he is an ECU graduate. We have an 11 month old daughter(Adalynn).

    So, my friend Jessi Burns apparantely is friends with and reads a blog (The McDaniels) where she saw your guest post. She immediately called me and said ‘hey, you should be stalker-like and email this gal because it’s a crazy small world.

    So, anywho, here I am. Emailing someone I don’t know. We love WA. We love our church and our town. We’re umm..normal? I have a blog. Let me know.

    Hey! Your father-in-law told me to check out your blog (I worked for him at Park). So crazy, I feel like someone mixed up our lives. I’m a WA girl living in NC, my hubbs is in the Air Force and I’m slowly getting the hang of being a SAHM to our 3-month old baby girl (natural birth, too!). Your dog Roy looks JUST like our pup, Max. I really enjoy your blog as I can relate to so much of what you say. Lots of love to your cute family!!

    Dear Martha Metzler!

    I am the sister of Robin (Welch) Harrell and am married to Matt Finneran (don’t know if you know him?). I don’t think I have ever met you and also legitimately cannot remember how I found your blog, but I did a couple of weeks ago & am enjoying it very much. Just wanted to say HI and I think us adults should get to wear onesies with our ages on the butts when we have birthdays too. It could be really cool and flattering.

    So funny! I just found your blog via your post on handling with grace, I’m a military wife as well. Im from Washington but Im stationed in NC, lets just trade places ;) Jk. I hope you are loving your time in Washington! I know the rainy weather can be a buzz killer but Washington is SO beautiful, it has a mix of everything if you are willing to drive, hot weather in eastern wa {party central && camping central}, country up north in arlington & up, and obviously the city! If you ever want some ideas on fun stuff to do around there just shoot me a comment or email! :)
